    OUR DRIVERS

    Westrend Limited maintains a mixed crop of experienced and duly licensed drivers with excellent safety records. Most of them speak the local dialects along the routes we cover. We have partnered with the Men and Officers of the FRSC who come thrice every year to lecture the drivers on defensive driving techniques. This is complimented by our routine in-house training facility which ensures goods are handled in the most professional way.

    SECURITY MEASURES

    We take security of our clients’ goods and property as well as own personnel, very seriously. To this end all our trucks are fully insured by La Federale d’Assurances (FEDAS), while our personnel have Workmen Compensation Insurance. As a matter of policy, we also encourage our clients to take a GIT policy for their goods. We can also take a GIT policy on behalf of our clients.

    TRUCK DIMENSIONS

    Westrend Limited’s fleet boast of open trailers and sealed trailers for sensitive goods. We have also made order for frozen trailers. Their dimensions are: Length ranges from 40 to 45feet, Width – 8 to 8.5feet and Height – 7 to 8feet. In other words, there is large space for clients goods and as well, scanning compliant.

    TRUCK CAPACITY

    Some of our truck heads (tractors) have double axles. The trailers also have double or triple axles that reinforce their ruggedness to carry more weight and volume of goods. Ideally, they can lift: Light Load – 3×20 feet containers. Heavy Load – 2×20 feet containers (open trailers), and 25 to 30 tons for the sealed trailers.
